We regret to advise of the death of Joseph William Thompson on 1 March 2019 at Perley & Rideau Veteran's Health Centre in Ottawa, ON.

Joe was born in 1926 in Findlater, SK and joined the Canadian Army as a boy soldier in 1942. After  the war he enrolled in the Permanent Force and proudly served for 27 years in the Royal Canadian Engineers.

A Memorial Service will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Friday, 8 March 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Perley & Rideau Veteran's Health Centre. Online Condolences can be sent to the Ottawa Citizen.
