We regret to advise of the death of John Robert Miller, CD (Ret’d) at the Windsor ON Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, on 29 May 2002 at the age of 68.

John’s career included a posting with 1 Airborne Troop, Royal Canadian Engineers in Calgary AB and a four-year tour with the field squadron in Germany where he also participated in the Boxing and Hockey Teams.  After leaving the Forces, he went to work for the Ford Motor Company where he spent many years as a Quality Control Supervisor at their Essex ON Engine Plant. He was a member of the Tecumseh Golden Age Club in Windsor as well as a 35-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion L'Ardoise NS Branch #110.   

A Veteran's Memorial Service will take place at the Holy Guardian Angel's Church, L'Ardoise, Cape Breton, NS at a later date with remains to be laid to rest at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, L'Ardoise.    Donations may be made to the Metropolitan Hospital Oncology Building Fund Palliative Care Unit, Windsor.
