We regret to advise of the death of John George Warren at the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC on 5 February 2006 at the age of 89 years. John was a veteran of both WW II and the Korean War.

John was born in Nova Scotia. He joined the Army in 1938 and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers. during the Second World War. After the war he re-enlited in the Canadian Army Permanent Force. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served with 57^th Field Squadron (1951 - 52). John later served with 4 Field Squadron in Germany and retired fom the Canadian Forces in 1967. He then began working for the Surrey School Board as a janitor at Earl Marriott High School until 1980 when he retired again.

A Service will be held at the Star of the Sea in White Rock on 9 February 2006.  A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion #8. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the White Rock Hospice Society. ^{{jpMar17dc}[zpp]}
