44 Field Squadron, based in Trail, BC supported the 31st Annual Gyros Polar Bear Swim yesterday. In preparation for the event, they build pathways to the river. On the day of the event, they helped sign-up participants and built a large fire the warm them after their plunge into the 40C water. Seventy-seven participants, including many from the Squadron, braved the Columbia's icy waters.
