We regret to advise of the death of Gwynfred Alfred "Griff" Griffith at the Kingston General Hospital on 22 February 2023. He was 84 years old.

Griff was born in Beaverlodge AB. After graduating from school in Souris MB, he attended Royal Roads (Class of '59) and the Royal Military College (Class of '61) as an RCAF cadet. At military college, he was very athletic playing on the college rugby and volleyball teams, as well as boxing and swimming. He then earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and served as a construction engineer in the air force. After a long career in engineering construction management, he retired from Ontario Hydro and from Fraser Health in BC.

Griff's retirement was mostly spent traveling, volunteering, sports and taking on various projects. After he moved from the West Coast to Kingston in 2008, he spent a lot of time working for his RMC class and volunteering at the college. In keeping with his wishes there will be no service; cremation has taken place.
