    We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Gill Royal Antaya (Ret'd) peacefully at his home in Prince Albert SK on 5 February 2020 at the age of 98 years. 

    Gill was born in Goldburn SK.  He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Engineers in 1939 and served in Europe until 1945 when he returned to Canada and was demobilized. Gill re-enlisted in the Active Force in 1951 during the Korean War and served in Camp Gagetown NB when the new Army base was being developed. Gill retired in 1953 and settled in Prince Albert. He became a certified steam engineer and a small-motor mechanic. Gill retired from the Saskatchewan Department of Highways at age 65 years.

    A Private Celebration of Gill's Life will be held in the spring of 2020. In memory of Gill, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at the Funeral Home.​ {khFeb20}
