L'Adjum D. A. (Dave) MacAulay, CD1 prendra sa retraite des Forces Armées Canadiennes le 24 Mai 2015 après 29 années de bons et loyaux services au sein des Forces Armées Canadiennes (biographie en pièce jointe). À la demande de Dave, un dîner aura lieu au mess des Sgt et Adj de la BFC Kingston le 13 mars 2015 à 1200h dans la salle Panjwai. After 29 years and 10 months of loyal and dedicated service to the CAF and the Engineer Branch, MWO Dave MacAulay will be retiring on 24 May 2015, his last working day will be on 20 Feb 2015. Born into service life as a base brat in Germany in 1967, MWO MacAulay joined the military right out of High School under the YTEP program in 1985 as an Infantryman with the PPCLI. Upon completion of battle school training, he was posted to 3 PPCLI in Esquimalt where he stayed until being posted to Kingston in 1989.
In 1994 his occupational transfer was approved and he attended his Refrigeration and Mechanical Tech TQ3 training at CFSME in Chilliwack BC. Upon completion of his training, he was posted to the 8 Wing Trenton CE RM shop for 6 years, followed by postings to Wainwright and then 42 Radar Squadron in Cold Lake. In 2006 he was posted back to Trenton for a second time, but this time to work with the Arrestor Gear at 86 ASU. In 2012 he was posted to DLI in Ottawa for a short time, until a posting to his current position as 15 Sqn Sergeant-Major at 1 ESU in Kingston.
MWO MacAulay has completed tours in Alert, Cyprus, Golan Heights, Haiti and Afghanistan and has had 8 postings including; Esquimalt, Kingston twice, Trenton twice, Wainwright, Cold Lake and Ottawa.
MWO MacAulay met his wife, Sandy MacAulay in 1995 during his first posting to Trenton and they were married in 2000 before being posting to beautiful Wainwright AB in the fall.
Dave and Sandy will be settling down in the Trenton area, as Dave has accepted a position as a civilian Contract Inspector in 8 Wing Construction & Engineering. They are looking forward to the next chapter in their lives and the adventures that accompany it, and plan on spending some quality time camping and boating.
