MCpl Branislav Kravjar, CD

After 20 years of service, Master Corporal Branislav Kravjar retired in 2018 from 2 CER where he was serving.
A proud member of CAF, MCpl Kravjar joined on 10 September 1996 and served in the 32 CER as a Combat Engineer. During his time with 32 CER, he successfully finished many training courses and unit exercised therein and later throughout Canada and the USA. His courses included QL2, QL3, QL5.
MCpl Kravjar joined the Regular Forces with 2 CER in Petawawa on 15 December 1998. He completed courses in JLC, Sergeant, Driver Wheel, Advanced Water Purification, and Forklift. He was deployed to Kosovo as a Combat Engineer in 1999, for which his service and support of his unit by working as a translator earned him acclaim and he was promoted to Cpl. In 2002.
In 2003, MCpl Kravjar was deployed to Bosnia’s OP PALLADIUM, wherein he completed his assigned tasks and was once again able to provide translation support, after which he received the NATO Former Yugoslavia Medal and the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2006, where he was very active in all operations, duties and responsibilities with his unit and was again receipt of recognition for his efforts and the following year saw his promotion to MCpl and the receipt of the Recognition Of Outstanding Service From All Ranks of 23 Fd Sqn, 2 CER.
MCpl Kravjar released from 2 CER on 18 December 2018 and re-joined 32 CER in January the following year. He was released from CAF completely on 6 November 2019 after 23 years in service. He is further recognized for his service by the Mayor of Toronto, the Premier of Ontario and for his proud time with the CAF.
