Hello there; after a tremulous year I have decided to hang up the uniform. My journey in the CAF started in March 1983 and began with the PPCLI. It was some time in 1988 I either had an epiphany or got tired of sleeping on the hard cold ground of Western Germany; so in 1989 I remustered to Electrical Generating Systems Tech. Over my career spanning 33 + years I have served in all three elements, and some highlights are:

CFB Esquimalt Work-Point Barracks, CFE Baden-Baden, CFB Halifax, SHAPE Casteau Belgium, and three times to Winnipeg. Perhaps Winnipeg was penance for all the other great locations but I don’t think so because I really enjoyed my time there.

I would be remiss if I didn’t thank my brothers and sister in arms for your help and guidance along the way. The list is extensive so please forgive me for not mentioning you by name for fear of missing some of you. So what do I see in my future.

Diane and I will be living in the Kingston area and I’m quite sure she will have a long list of things for me to around the house, you know cooking and cleaning etc. We’ll be spending time in the Yukon fixing up our cabin on Tagish Lake. I also have some part time work prospects, but mostly I’ll spend time with my two grown sons and spoiling my granddaughter.

If you are ever in the Kingston area and need a place to rest your head for the night look Diane and I up, the coffee is always on and the beer is cold. I wish you all health, hope, and happiness. Take care and be safe.

    CHIMO!!
