Cpl Archie McLellan, CD (Ret'd)
We regret to advise of the death of Corporal Archie McLellan (Ret'd) at the Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC on 12 April 2011.
Archie was a farm kid who was born in Wolseley, SK in 1926. He joined the navy during WWII at the age of 16 and served his country for three years. In 1948, Archie joined the Royal Canadian Engineers and was posted to Chilliwack. His career included two tours with the UN in Egypt and one tour in Germany. After his discharge from the military, he worked in construction with Kel-Mor and Chilliwack Sand and Gravel. He was a 51-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, 23 April 2011 at 11:00 a.m. At St. John's Anglican Church, 46078 Higginson Road, Chilliwack. No flowers by request. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Chilliwack Hospice would be appreciated.
