CFB Borden Opens CMEA Chapter

Event Date(s)
Wednesday, July 17, 2019

The brand new CFB Borden Chapter is planning a belated CMEA birthday celebration with BBQ, softball, dunk tank, and other fun on 17 July.

RP Ops Det Borden

  • 0715 Unit breakfast at Tip n’ Sip Café
  • 0830 Softball Tournament and Homerun Derby
  • 1200-1330 BBQ lunch sponsored by CMEA and unit funds at the firehall
  • 1330 dunk tank, horseshoes, etc. until the end of the day

This activity is in conjunction with CMEA birthday. A day for RP Ops to celebrate the history of the engineers by participating in some team bonding and morale events. All members, military and civilians, are encouraged to play and participate in any way they can – whether that be hitting some homeruns, chilling in the outfield, yelling from the stands, or manning the grill. The dunk tank has been done in the past and has had some great success, nothing brings troops together more than dunking their boss in freezing cold water! Everything is in good spirits and kicks of the summer right. As RP Ops heads into the summer months work doesn’t slow down. Setting up Black Down for the season, nonstop A/C work requests, and heavy training numbers on the base to keep everyone busy. RP Ops day is a great way to put the tools down for a day, enjoy each other’s company and be ready for the work ahead.
