    We regret to advise of the death of RCMP Corporal  Eugene Gabriel Ursual on 10 June 2008, peacefully, at home  in Ottawa, ON in his 68th year after a short battle with illness.

    Born in Kirkland Lake, ON, Eugene joined the Royal Canadian Engineers in 1956 as a young man with the 5th Intake of the Sapper Apprentice Plan. After completing this training he was posted to 3 Field Squadron, Chilliwack, BC. After completing his military service commitment  Eugene then joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1964. He proudly served in that career in "N","H," and "HQ" Divisions before retiring in 1977. Eugene then followed his dream and opened his own business as a military antiquarian. He became Canada's largest dealer of antique military memorabilia from around the world and dedicated the next 30 years of his life to honouring the memories of Canada's veterans and soldiers.

    Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 1 p.m. until service time in the chapel at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kemptville District Hospital or the Lanark Animal Welfare Society ( www.lanarkanimals.ca ) would be greatly appreciated.{khApr2018}
