The bridge spans Dog Lake Narrows on Ontario Secondary Provincial Highway 651, 4km from it's terminus in Missanabie.

History
The entire Highway 651 (52.8 km) wasn't officially opened to traffic until 30 Apr 1969. However, the first section of Highway 651, between Dalton and Missanabie was officially opened to traffic on 01 Jul 1967. The remainder, from Highway 101 to Dalton, was completed during 1968. The Bailey Bridge was likely erected in 1967. The original bridge was of single-storey construction but was later upgraded to double-storey to accommodate logging in the area. It is currently (2022) single-storey, again.
