CWO/Adjuc Eugene Adams, CD
After 35+ years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Forces and the Engineer Branch, CWO Eugene “Coco” Adams CD, will retire from the military on 18 Jul 10.
CWO Adams enrolled in the Canadian Forces on 12 May 75 as a Field Engineer. In 1984 he re-mustered to Construction Technician, and upon promotion to WO in 1997 he was transferred to the CE Superintendent Occupation. Then in 2005, he attained his present rank of CWO and he will continue as the SCWO of 4 Construction Engineering Squadron until his retirement.
Throughout his career, he has trained and been employed at a variety of postings in addition to Cold Lake: Bagotville QC, Wainwright AB, Edmonton AB, Shilo MB, Valcartier QC, Chilliwack BC, and Lahr, West Germany. As well, CWO Adams has served on a number of operational deployments including: Alert NWT (6 mos), twice to the Former Yugoslavia (6 mos each), Golan Heights (12 mo posting), and most recent Kandahar Afghanistan (9.5 mos).
CWO Adams will be retiring in Cold Lake and plans to remain in the Lakeland Region enjoying the ambience of this wonderful community with his wife Louise.
As his last day in uniform will be 01 Feb 10, a function will be held in honour of his service at 4 Wing, towards the end of January (TBA).
