We regret to advise of the death of Firefighter Chief Warrant Officer Clarence “Clare” Belliveau, CD (Ret’d), peacefully, at home in Victoria BC, on 2 April 2023 at the age of 91 years

Clare was born in St. Paul’s NB, fifth in a family of ten brothers and sisters. He left the family home in Minto NB in 1954 at a young age and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force for what became a 30-year military career as a Firefighter.

Clare’s career took him to Europe and across Canada. Throughout his career, he called “home” to Portage la Prairie MB, Germany, Chatham NB, North Bay ON, Toronto ON, Comox BC, and Winnipeg MB. Retiring from the Canadian Forces in 1983, he settled in Victoria BC with his family. One of the constant highlights of Clare’s retirement was his involvement with the Victoria Horseshoe Club, which became a passion he enjoyed for the rest of his life.

Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held for Clare at the Victoria Horseshoe Club on Sunday, 7 May 2023, at 1:00 PM.
