CWO Charles Rochlow, CD

CWO Charles Rochlow enrolled in the forces in 1983 completing basic training in Wainwright, Alberta before joining the 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in Victoria. His regular force service included postings to 3 PPCLI Victoria, and 2 PPCLI in Germany and Winnipeg. After re-mustering to the Engineers in 1992 he spent time at the CFSME, Borden, 2 CER, 1 ESU, North Bay and CFS Leitrim - Det Masset. His operational experience includes deployments to Germany, Cyprus, Norway, Sri Lanka, three tours in Afghanistan, and a tour in Haiti/Dominican Republic. CWO Rochlow transferred to the primary reserve in 2017 and initially served as the SSM Trg Sqn with the BCR. He was transferred to 39 CER in April 2018 as RSM designate. CWO Rochlow was promoted to his current rank as of 02 June 2018. During his 5+ years as RSM 39 CER he took on the role as the CM for all Reserve Snr NCO's within 39 Brigade. He also deployed on multiple OP LENTUS ops here at home including fires and floods, and COVID Response.
CWO Charles Rochlow will be retiring from the CAF on 08 May 2023, after over 39 years service. He will reside in the lower mainland with his wife Judith, together they look forward to grandchildren, lots of out-door activities and travelling around the world.
