CWO Leclerc enrolled in the CAF in July 2000 as an Electrical Generating Systems Technician. Following his apprenticeship training (DP1) at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) in Gagetown in June 2001, he was posted to 3 Wing Bagotville. During this posting, CWO Leclerc completed his journeyman training (DP2) and a six- month tour to Canadian Forces Station Alert as a power plant operator.
In 2004, CWO Leclerc was promoted to Cpl and posted to 5 CER in Valcartier with the Construction Troop the following year. In 2007, he was promoted to MCpl and subsequently deployed on Op ATHENA in Afghanistan. In 2008, CWO Leclerc completed the Electrical Generating Systems Supervisor Training (DP3A), followed by another deployment to Afghanistan in 2009.
In March 2010, he was promoted to Sergeant. In May 2013, CWO Leclerc was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer and posted to 19 Wing Comox as the Construction Engineer Flight Warrant Officer. After only a year with the flight, he worked in Base Construction Engineering as a production officer.
In July 2016, he was promoted to MWO and transferred to CFSME as Sergeant Major for the CEMS and CETS squadrons. In June 2018, he was employed with Global Affairs Canada and posted to the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, China. During three years at the Embassy, he held the position of Facilities and Operations Manager. In 2021, he was transferred to RP Ops QC - Detachment St-Jean as Sgt-Maj. In June 2022, he was promoted to the rank of CWO and posted to RP Ops Qc Headquarters as Regional Sgt-Maj.
CWO Leclerc released from the CAF on 11 May 2023 after more than 22 years of loyal and dedicated service. He is now employed in the Public Service with Real Property Operations Unit (North) as a Compliance Officer. Accompanied by his wife, Mélissa, and their boys, Ludovic and Logan, they will move one last time to the beautiful region of Outaouais.
