    After more than 14 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, Cpl Wade Cochrane, CD, will retire on 08 November 2023. Congratulatory messages, well wishes, and anecdotes can be sent to MCpl M.W. Lloyd at Matthew.Lloyd@forces.gc.ca.


    Cpl Wade Cochrane enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in August 2009 as an Infanteer and complete DP2 in 2012. Whilst posted to 1 RCR Petawawa, Cpl Cochrane occupied various positions from LAV Gunner to OC’s signaller, supporting numerous domestic TAVs and exercises.
    Cpl Cochrane transferred to Construction Tech in 2016 and was posted to CFB Borden. During his apprenticeship, he was tasked to Kingston, Trenton, and Petawawa. Wade completed QL5 in 2018 and was then posted to Dundurn. He obtained a Red Seal in carpentry in 2020. During his career, he deployed to Egypt for nine months to lead local trades during the construction of varied infrastructure projects.
    Upon retirement, Cpl Cochrane has accepted the position of Carpentry Shop Supervisor in Dundurn to remain in the local area with his spouse.
