Cpl L.R. Williamson, CD
After more than 14 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, Cpl Levi Williamson, CD, retired on 21 July 2021. Congratulatory messages and best wishes can be sent to WO M.C.S. Vance at Matthew.Vance@forces.gc.ca.
Cpl Levi Williamson enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces on 01 September 2006 as a rifleman within the Infantry. After BMQ, Cpl Williamson completed battle school and was posted to 1 Royal Canadian Regiment in Petawawa, ON, as a rifleman within a platoon. A few years later, in April 2009, Cpl Williamson deployed to Afghanistan as part of the JTFA Battle Group. Following his return, Cpl Williamson finished additional training, including courses on the LAV III, 25mm Operator, ATCIS Intermediate, as well as DP2 and PLQ.
In 2017, Cpl Williamson requested an occupational transfer to Construction Tech and completed trades training at CFSME. He was posted to the carpentry shop at RPOU(W) Det Wainwright where he performed preventative and corrective maintenance to support base operations. Additionally, he completed the QL4 OJT package under the mentorship of the Shop. In 2020, Cpl Williamson returned to CFSME to complete QL5 journeyman trades training. At this point, Cpl Williamson decided to retire from the Canadian Armed Forces and to accept a public service position as a carpenter within that shop.
