Cpl Kevin Lee was born in January 1994 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and moved to Canada when he was ten years old. After obtaining his diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Geomatics Technician in August 2016 at the age of 22. He completed basic training in November 2016 and soldier qualification in March 2017. After the two-year Geomatics course at Algonquin College in Ottawa, he graduated with honours in June 2019 obtaining his Geomatics Technician collegial diploma. Upon completion of his course, he was posted to 4 Engineer Support Regiment at CFB Gagetown and employed as a Geomatics support team member. He participated in several exercises including Nihilo Sapper and Ardent defender, and was the Squadron Fire Warden. After six years of service, Cpl Lee will release from the CAF on 31 August 2022 and will attend the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Cpl Lee’s work ethic and productivity made him a valuable member of the geo team. He will be well remembered and missed by all those who met him during his service.
