Cpl K.H.S. Wong

After more than 7 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, Cpl Ken Wong will release on 07 March 2022. Congratulatory messages and best wishes can be sent to Sgt E.A. Cabana at Elizabeth.Cabana@forces.gc.ca.

Ken grew up in Vancouver, BC, where he finished high school in 2010. After completing high school, Ken remained in BC to attend post-secondary school for two years. Afterwards, he took on various jobs before enlisting in the CAF in December 2014.

Ken served all his RegF years in Canada. He began his military service in January 2015 at CFLRS in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, for twelve weeks of BMQ training. After completing BMQ, Ken was transferred to CFSME at CFB Gagetown for occupational trade training to become a Water, Fuel, and Environmental (WFE) Technician. While he was awaiting his training in January 2016, he was attached-posted to 6 Field Engineer Squadron in North Vancouver, BC, to provide general duty support. Ken received his first posting to 19 Wing CE at CFB Comox upon completing his occupational trade training in July 2016.

Ken enjoys playing in team sports. He participated in intersectional softball every summer with his peers from the CE unit. He was always the shortstop as that was his favorite role for the team.

Ken will settle in Vancouver, BC, where he will remain close to his family and friends. He plans on taking time to explore new opportunities, and hopefully, travelling around the world.
