    After more than 11 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces, serving with the Royal Canadian Engineers as a Construction Technician, Corporal Kyle Krieger retired on 29 January 2021.     Corporal Krieger joined the Engineers in October of 2009. He was posted to Gagetown, New Brunswick after completing Basic Training at CFLRS, St-Jean, Quebec.

    After completing his DP1 course, he was posted to 22 Wing Constriction Engineers, CFB North Bay, in March of 2011. Cpl Krieger finished his DP2 in 2014 and then completed his PLQ in CFB Borden in 2015.

    Corporal Krieger participated in OP Impact, deploying to Ali Al Salem Air Base in 2016 to support in the fight against ISIS/ISIL. He oversaw the construction and assisted in multiple projects to provide much needed support to Canadian soldiers.

    In 2019, Corporal Krieger was posted to 2 Combat Engineer Regiment, CFB Petawawa. During his stay at 2CER Construction Troop, he participated in exercises and other projects supporting 2CER and CFB Petawawa.

    Since 2019, he has been happily married to Monica Shoker. Together, they have three dogs with hopes of starting a big family. Corporal Krieger is proud of his time with the Forces and will continue to support Canada by working at 22 Wing as a Public Servant.
