Cpl J.D. Krawczyk
After more than 12 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers, Cpl Joseph Krawczyk will retire on 30 August 2021. Joseph was born on 16 August 1992 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He enrolled in the CAF in 2009 with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment as an Infanteer. In 2010, he decided to join the Engineer Corp and travelled to the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) in Gagetown to become a Combat Engineer. After attending DP1 at CFSME, he was posted to 4 Engineer Support Regiment on 29 November 2010.
While at 4 ESR, he had the opportunity to occupy a variety of positions, such as Driver, Troop MT Rep, and Section 2I/C. He completed the First-Aid Instructor Course, RWS Gunner Course, and Combat Engineer DP2. In July 2015, he was posted to 5 CDSG with the Range Control EOD Section. For the last six years of his career, Cpl Krawczyk was at Range Control and worked in the Target shop. Being a talented carpenter, he constructed a variety of special projects for high ranking members and received a 5 CDSG Comds coin in appreciation of his good work.
Cpl Krawczyk is married to Victoria and they have three children: Landon, Rori, and Benjamin. He will remain in the area following retirement where he will attend NBCC
