Cpl D.L. Wilcox

    Cpl David Wilcox was born on 21 August 1997 in North Bay, Ontario, and enrolled in the CAF as a Plumbing and Heating Technician in Ottawa on 08 September 2016. Following completion of basic military qualification at CFLRS in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec, he moved to CFSME in Gagetown, New Brunswick, for QL3. Cpl Wilcox completed QL3 training at the Nova Scotia Community College while he stayed at CFB Shearwater, Nova Scotia.

    Upon the completion of QL3, David was posted to RP Ops Section Esquimalt in March 2018. Cpl Wilcox spent his time at CFB Esquimalt repairing and replacing fixtures, basins, water closets, urinals, showers, and repairing and replacing DWV systems, and trouble-shooting hot water tanks.
    He also assisted maintaining various hydronic and steam heating systems throughout the base. He deployed to Latvia for Op REASSURANCE Roto 8 in 2018 and took part in Ex NIHILO SAPPER in Prince Edward Island in the same year. In September 2021, he completed QL5 at CFB Gagetown and received the top candidate award.

    David will be settling on Vancouver Island and has accepted a plumbing position with Correctional Service Canada at William Head Institute.
