    After more than 17 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers Branch, Cpl Caleb Burrill, CD, will retire on 01 September 2022.     Caleb Burrill joined the CAF on 17 September 2004 as an Infantryman. Upon completion of QL3 training, he joined 2 nd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment.

    While serving with 2 RCR, Cpl Burrill completed numerous courses including the LAV III Crew Commander course, TCCC, ATCIS OP, Winter Warfare, Recce Patrol, Sniping Det Commander Mods 1 and 2, and PLQ. Cpl Burrill deployed twice from 2 RCR; once to Afghanistan as a rifleman from January to August 2007, and again to Afghanistan as an Acting-while-so-Employed MCpl Sniper from February to July 2012. Cpl Burrill was promoted to MCpl in July 2014.

    MCpl Burrill left the infantry in 2015 to join the Engineers as an Electrical Distribution Technician. After QL3 training, Cpl Burrill was posted to 14 Wing Greenwood. He received his CD in May 2017. As an ED Tech, Caleb deployed on numerous TAVs to install intrusion alarms including to OP IMPACT in March 2019, to OP FOUNDATION in April 2019, to OP IMPACT Lebanon in August 2019 and to OP REASSURANCE in September and December 2019.
