We regret to advise of the death of Corporal Clinton “Clint” Keith McCue (Ret’d) on 16 March 2021, peacefully in his sleep at his home in Whitehorse YT at age 61.

A native of Whitehorse, Clint  attended F.H. Collins High School and followed his grandfather’s path into the military when he joined the Canadian Military Engineers. Clint served in 2 Combat Engineer Regiment, Petawawa ON in the early 80s as an Airborne Sapper. He retired from the Canadian Forces as a Corporal when the Call of the North brought him back to the Yukon.

Clint was very proud of his service to Canada and never slowed down after leaving the military. He entered the Yukon Trades College when he moved back to the Yukon and he became a qualified heavy-duty mechanic. After working for some larger companies, Clint decided that he needed to be his own boss and started Rouge Contracting. He took on contracts across northern Canada servicing and building numerous remote telecommunication sites.

In accordance with Clint’s wishes, there was no funeral service but there was a gathering of family and friends at his house. Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home
