We regret to advise of the unexpected death of Corporal C.G.E. “Eric” Paradis, CD (Ret’d) in Shannon, QC on 16 May 2018 in his 45^th year. Eric was born in Quebec QC and enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1990 as a Combat Engineer in the Reserves with 10^th Field Engineer Squadron, in Quebec City (now part of 35^e Régiment du Génie de combat). In 1996, he transferred to the Regular Force and was assigned to 5^e Régiment du Génie de combat in Valcartier where he served his entire career. During his career, he deployed on Op HARMONY in Bosnia (Apr - Sept 1995) and on two combat missions to Afghanistan: Kabul (Feb - Aug 2004) and Kandahar (Aug 2007 - Feb 2008). Eric retired in 2015

The family will receive condolences at La Seigneurie Coopérative Funéraire, 2450, av. St-Clément, Quebec, QC/ Beauport (Autoroute de la Capitale, Bourg-Royal exit # 318) on Friday, 22 June 2018 from 7 pm to 10 pm. Condolences can also be offered to the family from 9 am on Saturday, 23 June in the Church of the Nativity of Notre Dame, 25 Avenue du Couvent, Quebec where the funeral will be celebrated at 10:30 am. The ashes will be deposited at the Columbarium La Seigneurie.
