We regret to advise of the death of Firefighter Corporal Bruce "Gus" Martin (Ret’d) of LaSalle ON on 5 May 2022 at the age of 77 years. 

Gus served as a firefighter in the Royal Canadian Air Force. During his career he had postings in Canada that included Royal Canadian Air Force Station Moosonee ON and overseas with 3 Wing in Zweibrücken, Germany followed by Canadian Forces Base Lahr. After his retirement from the Canadian Forces, he became a Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator for many years, eventually retiring from Gates Rubber Company. Gus was a member of the LaSalle Mariners' Yacht Club for almost 40 years and belonged to organizations that included St. John’s Ambulance and the Industrial Accident Prevention Association.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the LaSalle Mariner’s Yacht Club [2640 Front Rd., LaSalle] on Saturday, 14 May from 1-4:00 pm. A Memorial Ceremony will commence at 3:00 pm. Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
