    After more than 5 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, Cpl B. Woelk (00339) will retire on 23 January 2025. A DwD reception will be held on 21 January 2025 at Griffins starting at 1300. The Dress will be civilian attire (casual). Messages of well wishes, stories and gifts can be sent to MCpl V.     Cpl Brendan Woelk enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces in January 2020 and began basic training soon thereafter. Once they completed BMQ they moved to CFB Gagetown for their BMQ-L and DP1 Combat Engineer course. After graduating he joined 4 ESR in July 2021 where they participated in several notable operations, including helping with floods in PEI as part of Op Lentus in 2022. They also deployed to Poland in 2023 for Op Unifier, where he taught counter-explosive threat tactics to Ukrainians. Cpl Woelk will be finishing his career with 4 Engineer support Regiment on the 23 January 2025.

    Cpl Woelk is planning to transition to a new career with the Vancouver Police Force in Vancouver, BC.
