After 8 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers Branch, Cpl Andrew Fairweather will release on 16 June 2022. Anecdotes and retirement wishes may be sent to Sgt A.P.M. Lacharite at Alexandre.Lacharite@forces.gc.

Andrew was born the 23 September 1991 in Saint John, New Brunswick. He enrolled in the CAF as a Combat Engineer in Moncton, NB, in August 2013. After completing Basic Training at CFLRS in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, he moved to CFSME in Gagetown, NB for DP1. Following this training, he was posted to 4 Engineer Support Regiment in November 2014. Cpl Fairweather filled many positions within 4 ESR including Section Storesman, IST Sect Member with EROC, and MT Rep for 43 Sqn.
In July 2020, Cpl Fairweather was posted to 5 CDSG, Ops Services, Range Control, EOD Section where he currently works.
Although Cpl Fairweather is leaving the CAF, he will always remain a friend to those with whom he served. Andrew, his spouse Jessica, daughter Isabelle, and sons Ian, Cedrik, and Robert plan to remain in the Oromocto area, looking forward to furthering to their ever-changing lives
