As your Canadian Military Engineer (CME) Colonel Commandant, CME Branch Advisor, and CME Branch Chief Warrant Officer, it is with great pleasure that we take this opportunity to offer our best wishes of the Christmas season to all members of the Canadian Military Engineer Branch and to all of your families. We hope that you will take the time to reflect upon your outstanding accomplishments from the past year and the prosperity of the future. We remain an incredibly strong community.

We were honoured to have had the opportunity to travel across the country visiting Engineer units and thank you all for hosting us so well. We are impressed and humbled with all that you do and the professionalism displayed by everyone within the Engineer family. We continually hear the praises of your supported commanders of the tremendous work that you are performing. Many of you have been rightfully recognized for your tremendous efforts and you should be extremely proud of what you have accomplished! Congratulations!

We remain confident that the CME Branch is providing the best military engineering advice and capabilities to our Canadian Armed Forces, in an ever changing environment. Fortunately, we are agile and adaptable enough to overcome the challenges we are faced with in order to provide world-class engineering support.

Current global affairs and operations remind us of the dangers present in the world in which we operate. Our thoughts and prayers are with our deployed troops and their families as we wait for their safe return. For those of you at home this holiday season, we hope that you take the time over the holidays to enjoy friends and family and to take a well-deserved break from your duties. Seasons greetings to you all and the very best in 2017!
