    We regret to advise of the death of Captain Ralph Mahler, CD who passed away on 27 December 2008 at the age of 55.

    Born in Val d'Or, Quebec, Ralph graduated from the University of Toronto in Industrial Engineering 1976 and enrolled into the Canadian Military Engineers the same year. Ralph was a Regular Force member of the Canadian Military Engineering family for 30 years with service in Canadian Forces Base North Bay, Canadian Forces Station Lowther, Ottawa, Chilliwack, Gander and Yellowknife. He retired in 1994 in Yellowknife and joined the Reserves there in 2004 with Joint Task Force North as the Engineering Officer (JTFN/CFNA Engr O).

    A Funeral Service was held on 30 December at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 4909-52nd Street, Yellowknife. Those wishing to make a donation in Capt Mahler's name may consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Chief of Defence Staff's Military Families Fund. {kh7 Sep2015}
