32 CER is unfortunately retiring two long term members of the Regiment.
Capt Peter Granger, CD, retired on 12 Sep 2017. Capt Granger is retiring after more than 41 years of loyal and dedicated service to the CAF and the CME Branch (see bio attached).
At the request of both Capt Granger and MWO Podesta, they will be combining their depart with dignity. Please join Peter and Mike and their families for a celebration of their careers.

Captain Peter Granger enrolled in 2 nd Field Engineer Regiment on June 1, 1977 under the Summer Youth Training Program. On completion of his Basic Military Training and QL3 Field Engineer Course he was promoted to Corporal in Jun 1978. He attended the QL5 Field Engineer Course in Chilliwack, and then his PLQ in Jul 1979, and was promoted to MCpl in Aug 1980. On Oct 1982 he was promoted to Sergeant. Completed his Senior Leaders Course in 1983, and was promoted to Warrant Officer in 1992. Peter was promoted to Master Warrant Officer in May 1993.
As an NCM, Captain Granger was employed in a variety of positions at the unit from Section Commander to Squadron Sergeant Major of both the Field and Training Squadrons.
He commissioned to the rank of Captain on December 7, 2011. Since his commission, Captain Granger has held the position of Officer Commanding of both 2 Field Engineer Squadron and 47 Field Engineer Squadron. Capt Granger has an excellent record of attending all summer concentrations since his enrollment. He continues to boast about the best exercise he ever attended, Ex Golden Coyote in South Dakoda in 2014, Capt Granger was the Operations Officer with 110 MEB. His last major exercise was in 2016, Ex Stalwart Responder with 33 CBG, which dealt with aid to civilian authorities during disaster relief.
Captain Granger was awarded his 2 rd Clasp on his CD for 40 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. He was also awarded the District Commanders Commendation in 1998. Capt Granger is retiring after 41 years of service in the CAF and the RCE.
In his civilian life, Captain Granger has a Diploma in Business Administration from Humber College and has been employed with Sealy Canada since 1997. He is married to Wendy Huang and has one daughter, Nicolette.
