While in Cold Lake, Cpl Tremblay served four years with 4 Wing Construction Engineer, as a member of the range maintenance team located at the Primrose Lake Evaluation Range (PLER). In 2008, a unique qualification changed MCpl Tremblay's family's future as his armored engineer Badger qualification was called upon for an operational posting to 1 CER. Upon arrival, Dany was subsequently deployed on TF-1-09 as a Sgt Det Comd on the Leopard 1 Badger. Accompanied by his armored section, he spent numerous hours maintaining his Badger fleet in order to ensure QRF readiness from the Forward Operation Base (FOB) Masum Ghar.

During his time at 1 CER, Dany served twice in Afghanistan (OP ATHENA 2009 and OP ATTENTION 2013). In 2015 he was selected to attend the year-long Army Technical Warrant Officer (ATWO) course in Kingston. Upon graduation, Dany, his wife, and their three boys were posted to the National Capital Region (NCR) where WO Tremblay was fortunate to be part of the Force Mobility Enhancement (FME) project, in a Deputy project director role. With his Badger deployment experience and background, Dany enable multiple major changes between the previous engineer tank variant and the newly fielded Leopard 2 Engineer tank platform. After his promotion to MWO in 2018, Dany moved to DLR 7to work with the Common Heavy Equipment Replacement (CHER) project.

Following the selection process of commission from the rank (CFR) in January 2019, Capt Tremblay was promoted to his current rank in June 2019 and was transferred to a different aspect of a project within ADM(Mat), as he took the role of an Equipment Management Team (EMT) leader for the Relocatable Temporary Camp (RTC). During that time, he gained experience and exposure to the work performed by the Life Cycle Material Manager (LCMM), and in December 2023, he accepted an offer to transfer as a public servant. Dany will keep serving as the LCMM for water supply equipment, following his retirement from CAF.
