The Canadian Sapper is accessible and searchable through our ECO and Canadiana Online electronic databases:

First World War military newsmagazines — "trench journals" — offer exemplary insight into the social and cultural experience of war by Canadians, collecting and publishing letters, poems, editorials, cartoons, awards, social events, and a wider commentary on military and civilian life.
