It was re-activated in 1953 at the Royal Canadian School of Military Engineering in Chilliwack, British Columbia. under the direction of Major A Brown, CD. The band recruited its players not only from Canada but also from Great Britain, Holland and Hungary.
Individual talent within the Band is unlimited and many of its members have been associated with well-known dance and symphony orchestras.
During its 15 years of musical duties, the Royal Canadian Engineers Band has played for British Royalty, the Late Governor General Vanier, Canadian Prime Ministers, President L.B. Johnson, as well as on such memorable occasions as Expo 67, the Seattle Armed Forces Pageant, and the Centennial Grand Military Tattoo.
Due to the re-organisation of Canadian Military Bands, the Royal Canadian Engineers Band is now part of the new Canadian Forces Naden Band under the direction of Captain Leonard Camplin.
