CENTRAL CHANCERY OF THE ORDERS OF KNIGHTHOOD.

St. James's Palace, S.W.1. 1st February, 1945.

The KING has been graciously pleased, on the advice of His Majesty's Canadian Ministers, to approve the- award of the British Empire Medal (Military Division), in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Italy, to the undermentioned (to be dated the 30th December 1944):

K.73923 Staff-Sergeant James Wesley Ballentine, Corps of Royal Canadian Engineers. 


James Wesley Ballentine was born in Dawson City in 1909 and died in Chilliwack, BC in 1989 at the age of 80 years.
