    LCol André Corriveau enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in August 1971. After completing his studies at CMR and RMC, he served as a Mechanized Troop Commander in the 5ième Régiment de Génie de Combat in Valcartier, in various positions in the BCE section at CFB Borden, as the SCEO at CFS Sioux Lookout and, following his promotion to Major, as the BCEO at CFB Comox. He also served as the first Director of Physical Plant at RMC in Kingston and, following his promotion to LCol, as the Director of College Support Services at RMC. He served in various military engineering officer staff positions in CFTS HQ in Trenton, in AIR COMMAND HQ (twice) in Winnipeg, in ADM(IE) (twice) in NDHQ, as the career manager for Construction Engineering officers and in CANADA COMMAND HQ. He organized the first Ontario Beaver Cup hockey tournament which was held in Borden in January 1983. He also created the B.C. Beaver Cup hockey tournament, the first of which was held while in Comox in January 1988. He retired in September 2007 to accept an offer of employment with the Canadian Forces Housing Agency in Ottawa.
