Supt Gordon Anderson MacLean (Ret'd)

We regret to advise of the death of Superintendent Gordon Anderson MacLean, (Ret'd) in Edmonton, AB on 29 June 2012 at the age of 73.
Gordon was born and raised in Lethbridge, AB and at the age of 12 moved to Meeting Creek, AB where he lived on the family farm. On his 16th birthday, he enlisted in the Canadian Army in the soldier apprentice program with the Royal Canadian Engineers. After 10 years with the Engineers, he retired from the Army and, on his 26th birthday, joined the City of Edmonton Police Department. Following a 27-year police career, Gordon retired on his 53rd birthday having achieved the rank of Superintendent. Gordon was extremely proud of his military and police service.
A Memorial Service will be held on 5 July at 2:00 p.m. at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. Donations may be made to the Jasper Place Branch of the Edmonton Public Library. {gdNov2016kh}
