We regret to advise of the death of Alexander John “Jack” McCaskill peacefully in Edmonton AB on 13 August 2014 in his 98^th year.

Jack was born in Edmonton and grew up in Calgary AB.  He was educated at the University of Alberta and Oklahoma University in Norman OK USA as a petroleum engineer.  He was a WW II veteran who served with the Royal Canadian Engineers.  Jack was a pioneer in the development of the oil and gas industry in Western Canada and in North Africa.  He was involved in community and church activities.  He retired in Qualicum Beach, BC where he served on the municipal council.

A Memorial Service will be held at Riverbend United Church, 14907 - 45 Avenue NW, Edmonton at 4 p.m. on 16 August.  Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website at www.hainstockedmonton.com. ^{{gdNov2016kh}}
