We regret to advise of the death of Master Warrant Officer Oral Hemer Bjerke, CD (Ret'd)  of Summerland BC on Monday 29 April 2002 at the St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver BC at the age of 77 years. 

Oral was born in Rose Valley, Melfort Census Division, SK in 1924. Oral's career highlights include service in Korea 1951 with the 57^th Independent Field Squadron, Militia Instructor Staff in Lethbridge, AB and instructor at the Royal Canadian School of Military Engineering.

A Celebration of Oral's Life was held on Saturday, 4 May 2002 at 2:00 p.m. from the Summerland United Church. 13204 Henry Avenue. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Box 114, Summerland, B.C. V0H 1Z0.
