    Maj A.L. Wall, CD will retire from the Canadian Armed Forces in Jan 2017 after more than 14 years of loyal and dedicated service to the CAF and the CME Branch.

    Maj Andrew Wall, CD, P.Eng, PMP joined the CAF in 2002 under the Civilian University - Regular Officer Training Plan. Upon graduation from the University of Western Ontario in 2004 with a degree in Civil Engineering he was posted to CFSME until the completion of phase training in May 2006. During the lull between Phase 3 and 4, Maj Wall spent nine months at LFTEU completing an OJT assignment and learning the ins and outs of the trade through several “seasoned” veterans. 

    Upon completion of phase training Maj Wall was posted to 2 CER and 24 Fd Sqn. During his time at 2 CER Maj Wall commanded 5 Tp as well as completed two and half years as the Sqn’s Ops O. During this time Maj Wall deployed to Afghanistan with the 3 RCR BG as the 24 Fd Sqn Ops O. After returning from Afghanistan Maj Wall was posted to RMC to undertake a postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering. While at RMC Maj Wall concurrently completed a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.

    In Mar 2010, Maj Wall was posted to LFCA TC as the Construction Engineering Officer. During this posting Maj Wall had the delight of ensuring the ASD contractor was held accountable for facilities maintenance as well as completing countless projects with a small but extremely capable staff. In July 2012, Maj Wall was posted to ADM(IE) and spent time as the Staff Officer to both the Director General Portfolio Requirements and the Commander of the RP Ops Gp. Maj Wall was promoted to his current rank in April 2013. In July 2014, Maj Wall was posted to CFB Shilo as the BCEO. During this time he was indoctrinated to the ways of the Army of the West. In July 2016, Maj Wall was posted to the Real Property Operations Unit (Ontario) as the Operations and Plans Officer. Maj Wall has earned two professional credentials during his time in the CAF. He has obtained his Professional Engineer License in the Province of Ontario as well as a Project Management Professional credential from the Project Management Institute. He is also set to complete his Master’s in Business and Administration in January. 

    Recently, Maj Wall has accepted the Manager of Facilities and Parks position with the Town of Georgina just North of Toronto and will be commencing his new duties as of 04 Jan 17. Maj Wall, his wife Karen and children Kasey, Layla, Amelia, and Wyatt will remain in the Horseshoe Valley area for the foreseeable future.
