LCol Frank Egan, CD

LCol Frank Egan will retire from the Canadian Armed Forces and the CME Branch on 23 August 2017 after 35 years of loyal and dedicated service.  LCol Egan enrolled in the Canadian Forces in June 1982 as a Military Engineer Officer.  Upon completion of phase training and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree from the Royal Military College of Canada, LCol Egan was posted to CFB Halifax Construction Engineering and his troop command of some 90 civilian employees.  Over the years, LCol Egan has had many and varied postings that have included 2 Combat Engineer Regiment as OC of 28 Admin, 23 Field and 25 Support Squadrons, 1 Cdn Div HQ, G4 at Army Staff College, Army Doctrine, COS of 36 CBG and mercifully only two short years in NDHQ.  LCol Egan had the privilege of serving in Germany for five years, including three years at the German Army Engineer School in Munich and two years of German Staff College in Hamburg being ridiculed for his Bavarian accent.
