The 32nd Canadian Military Engineer Challenge Run occurred on Friday, 4 Oct 13. Over 100 people, comprising 21 teams, and many individual runners / walkers participated in the event. The race was followed by a meal and awards presentation at the Cartier Square Drill Hall. This year, the event saw a return to its original name and focused on team work. Five person mixed-gender teams had to complete the six km route with three checkpoints to be eligible for the Red Runner Trophy. The winner was the team that crossed the finish line as a team, in the shortest amount of time and with the correct information from the checkpoints. Teams also had to have distinctive clothing, uniforms or costumes.

The top three teams competing were:

  • 1st: Mapping and Charting Establishment
  • 2nd: DIEC/GPS (ADMIE)
  • 3rd: RP Operations Group (ADM IE) Chimo!
