    We regret to advise that Captain Forrest Lynn Chapman (Ret'd) passed away peacefully on 9 February 2009 at his home in Agassiz after a 12-year battle with Parkinson's disease.

    Forrest was born in Estevan, SK in 1929 and joined the Canadian Army with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in 1947. After a short period he left to pursue the carpentry trade and then joined the Royal Canadian Engineers in 1954. He served with the Engineers until 1989 in such locations as Germany, Egypt and Cyprus. After retirement he worked at CFB Chilliwack first as a carpenter and then as a building inspector, retiring in 1997.

    A celebration of life was held at the Vedder Legion Branch 280 on 17 February 2009.
